Work starts on Vietnam?s largest PCTC

The Ha Long Shipbuilding, part of the Vinashin group, has begun building a $50 million car carrier which can carry 4,900 CEUs, becoming the largest PCTC to be built in Vietnam. The ship is one of a series of eight ordered from Ha Long by Israel’s Raycar Carriers. The 185.6 metre long, 32.26 metre wide ship was designed by Italy’s Naval Progetti and supervised by Norway’s DNV.
