ZF refocuses auto powertrain unit on e-mobility developments
With this step, ZF will combine its competencies in order to better address the increasing electrification in passenger cars, improve customer proximity and further accelerate the transformation to plug-in hybrids and electric drives. As part of the restructure, ZF has announced that it will no longer develop components for internal combustion engine (ICE) drives, but will instead focus on electrified car drivelines for long-range plug-in hybrids and purely electric vehicles.
The current head of the Car Powertrain Technology Division, Stephan von Schuckmann, will join the supervisory board on 1 January 2021.
