Zhejiang to build ten Bourbon vessels

China’s Sinopacific Group subsidiary Zhejiang Shipyard has signed a contract with French shipowner Bourbon for the construction of 10 offshore vessels, for delivery during 2010 and 2012. The vessels will each be fitted with a large Hydramarine Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane which will be built by MacGregor?s offshore division?s Hydra marine?s facility in Singapore. This marks the single biggest order in the history of Norway-headquartered Hydramarine.

Bourbon operates a fleet of 236 owned vessels that cater to the marine offshore oil and gas sectors.
