Wärtsilä maintenance for TMS Cardiff Gas quartet

Wärtsilä signs a maintenance agreement for four TMS Cardiff Gas triple-fuel diesel-electric gas carriers

The maintenance agreement, signed in December 2017, expands an earlier technical management agreement signed between Wärtsilä and TMS Cardiff Gas in 2014 and advances the performance monitoring of the company’s vessels expansion. The scope of the new agreement includes Eniram’s data collection platform and advanced data analytics.

TMS Cardiff Gas will gain comprehensive oversight of vessel performance, efficiency, and improvement possibilities through Wärtsilä’s Dynamic Maintenance planning, in combination with Eniram’s vessel digital performance management system.

“The maintenance and upgrade service needs of the tri-fuel main generator engines on our LNG carriers are technically advanced and require detailed planning to ensure reliable performance and the vessels’ operability. Through our five-year partnership with Wärtsilä and Eniram, we are confident that our fleet will continue to be our customers’ premium choice,” said George Kourelis, general manager, TMS Cardiff Gas.

Wärtsilä provides all necessary spare parts for the maintenance of the vessels as well as field service resources for scheduled maintenance, planned according to the actual running hours of the engines. Remote support service gives crews access to Wärtsilä’s support team around the clock, facilitating instant troubleshooting and minimising service visits.
