Singapore's first LNG bunker tanker will be powered by Yanmar dual-fuel engines (creidt: Sinanju Tanker Holdings)

The vessel, which will be owned and operated by Sinanju Tanker Holdings under a partnership agreement with Mitsui & Co, will be Singapore’s first dual-fuelled bunker tanker and will run on LNG and marine gas oil.

The ship will be powered by two Yanmar 6EY26DF main engines. Yanmar will deliver the engines and fuel gas supply system by January next year, with the vessel expected to begin operations in December.

Keppel won the order to build the tanker in April, and has recently been awarded a contract to build the port’s first LNG bunker barge.
