GTT chosen for Samsung-NYK LNG carriers

The 174,000m³ carriers have been ordered on behalf of Japanese ship owner NYK and will be fitted with GTT’s Mark III Flex membrane containment system.

GTT chairman and chief executive, Philippe Berterottière, said: “We are very pleased to continue our partnership of excellence with Samsung Heavy Industries with the first order of 2019 for the benefit of NYK, an owner with whom we have a very close relationship.”

Delivery is scheduled between the third and fourth quarters of 2021.
