'Coral Methane'

The vessel will be finished under supervision of Anthony Veder and will be operational in the summer of 2019. Anthony Veder will handle the commercial operation and ship management.

“We are proud to add a new LNG carrier to our fleet in this relatively short time frame and look forward to our close cooperation with Xinle Shipbuilding to finalize the vessel,” said Jan Valkier, CEO of Anthony Veder. “Our company has a long history in building and delivering ships in China such as the LNG-fuelled LEG vessels Coral Star and Coral Sticho. We are excited to return to China for this latest addition to our fleet after five years of absence.”

After delivery, the vessel will be given a signature ‘Coral’ company name.

Anthony Veder operates gas tankers in all segments of the gas market. It owns the majority of its fleet, but also operate gas tankers on behalf of other quality owners.

In January, Anthony Veder’s converted LNG bunker vessel Coral Methane completed its first LNG refuelling with AIDAnova in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The 7,500 cbm vessel was modified from an ethylene/LNG carrier.
