Titan plans new bio-LNG plant
The new plant will be built next to the Titan bunker pontoon in the Amerikahaven.
Linde Engineering is conducting the basic engineering for the plant which is expected to produce 200,000 tons of bio-LNG per year. First production is expected in 2025.
The fuel is primarily intended for shipping, and with it, the consortium aims to contribute to the European Commission’s 55% CO2 reduction target.
The plant will produce liquid biomethane from organic waste and residual streams. The waste will be converted to biogas on-site by supplier BioValue, although some will come from other European biogas production facilities connected to the existing gas grid.
