More MET-MB orders for engines with low-pressure EGR

The supplier has announced that the order relates to an order for a J-ENG 6UEC50LSH-ECO-C3-EGR type engine equipped with a low pressure EGR system. The order is scheduled for delivery in early 2023.

MHI-MME has delivered over 30 turbochargers for engines with low pressure EGR since the first shipment in 2018. The cumulative number of turbochargers includes five different frame sizes: 37MB, 42MB, 48MB, 53MB, and 60MB.

MHI-MME also notes that the it has received firm interest in a further 30 units, and it expects the business volume to increase in the future. The MET-MB series of axial turbochargers was developed in 2008 and now includes 10 frame sizes.

An MHI-MME statement noted that it has been developing turbochargers for engines equipped with low pressure EGR systems in close conjunction with J-ENG to meet the specifications required by main engine. ”As a manufacturer of turbochargers that focuses on the needs of customers, we will continue to provide the best products that meet various engine specifications and are compatible with new fuels.”
