Major order for BWTS in Korea
One system is to be installed on each of four 318,000 dwt VLCCs being built for Samco Shipholding of Singapore. NEI says that this order represents the largest BWTS order to date for the Hyundai Group.

The four 6,350m3/h VOS systems represent the Company’s largest BWTS order to date, eclipsing a previously order for six 4,400m3/h systems being built in Korea by Samgong for Dayang Shipyard in China. NEI says that it has delivered the first three of the six VOS systems to Dayang, which are being installed on six 118,000 dwt bulk carriers being built for Hartmann Reederie of Germany.
NEI has licensed its proprietary technology to strategic partners Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha of Japan and Samgong of Korea. In addition to having exclusive rights to build and sell the VOS system within the Japanese and Korean markets, respectively, both Mitsubishi and Samgong manufacture systems sold globally by NEI itself. Patents have recently been granted for the systems in Korea and Japan, adding to the patents already in force in several other countries.
