Huber+Suhner completes cable portfolio

The cables can transmit both signals and energy and have than 70 design versions covering a wide range of applications – from data transmission in control systems to ships’ diesel engines.

RADOX MFH-S cables are apparently up to three times thinner and much lighter than others on the market. They are approved for use in temperatures from -50 to +90°C, but can also function for 20,000 hours in temperatures of 120 °C.

They feature particularly high abrasion and vibration resistance and a very small bending radius. Product testing in the Huber+Suhner in-house test centre proved the flexibility and resistance of the cables after more than one million bending cycles, so they are also suitable for moving applications, ie cranes or drilling rigs.

The cables are particularly resistant to mud, diesel, oil, ozone, hydrolysis and the effects of the weather, which makes them particularly good for use in the harsh environmental conditions which prevail on oil and gas platforms.
