The new E-class jack-up will have the same design as 6103 Enterprise

The new E Class will be the fifth GMS vessel to be powered by NES and will include a complete electrical package, automation (IAS), fire safety and gas systems.

“We have been working closely with Gulf Marine Services for several years now and the award of this latest contract is the best form of customer feedback that any supplier could wish for,” said Paul Winson, senior vice president of sales at NES.

“The reliability of our products and our ability to listen to what our clients really want has enabled us to deliver the best possible solutions to suit their needs,” he added.

NES has also delivered a highly redundant ring net solution, which enables the vessel to operate with smaller generators, motors and thrusters without comprising on the performance.

The new contract comes soon after GMS performed a naming ceremony for the 5602 Scirocco, which was the third successful vessel supplied by NES to GMS.

NES’s fourth delivery to GMS, 5603 Shariqi, is set for April 2016, with the fifth set to follow soon after.
