BMT helps Minerva monitor vessel performance
The MINERVA LEO and MINERVA TYCHI have both been fitted with the system which combines data collected on-board with data available only on shore such as weather data, giving the Minerva Marine team access and insight into factors impacting the vessels’ performance.
Maria Tsobanoglou, new buildings and S&P senior engineer at Minerva Marine Inc. commented: “BMT has been able to offer a comprehensive package that can fully support our efforts to monitor daily operational costs and optimise fleet performance.”
“BMT provides flexibility in data display and analysis, with trends and live feedback, making it easier for us to manage our maintenance strategies and quantify the results of an energy saving solution, or calculate the payback period of a particular investment,” she added.
BMT has further strengthened its relationship with Minerva with an additional order for its shaft power torque metre and vessel performance monitoring systems for two new Suezmax tankers, MINERVA KALYSPO and MINERVA EVROPI.
