Mitsubishi acquisition to bolster gas-fuelled business

The control of the company has already been transferred to MTEE and G&DP’s name will change to Turbocharger and Engine Europe.

“We need to rethink the traditional propulsion systems to meet the increasingly complex requirements” said MTEE general manager, Rob Schellekens.

“This merger is a response to this demand from the market. We believe that natural gas is the future for the maritime industry and we will continue to contribute to the development.”

This acquisition will position MTEE as one of the leaders in the four stroke gas-fuelled market. It will enable MTEE to accelerate the development of gas engines and expand sales of standard gas engines in the EMEA region.

G&DP designs and manufactures gas and diesel generator sets for marine and land based power generation.
