MacGregor to optimise container capacity for MSC
The work, designed to optimise ships’ cargo system productivity and earning potential, is planned for completion towards the end of 2018. The upgrades include an individual plan for each vessel, with a focus on improving efficiency.
“Each cargo system upgrade has been carefully designed with MSC,” explained Atte Virta, naval architect, cargo handling, MacGregor. “The vessel type and their service deployment have been considered in detail. This ensures optimum cargo system flexibility and efficiency, which maximises the vessels’ earning potential and return on investment.”
“MacGregor’s expertise in cargo systems and its continuous development of new innovations is highly appreciated,” says Giuseppe Gargiulo, head of department, new building, dry dock and conversions, MSC. “Its solutions greatly improve our ability to compete in the current business environment.”
