Aqualis Offshore contracted for LNG barge study

The scope of the study is to provide a Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for Control and Monitoring System (CAMS), Emergency Shutdown System (ESDS) and Wireless Telemetry System installed on the 2,200m³ LNG bunkering/transport barge.

Phil Lenox, director of Asia Pacific region, Aqualis Offshore, said: “When we set up our Busan office last year, a key objective was to build up a presence that allowed us to support oil industry players that are based in South Korea but who operate internationally”.

The LNG bunkering/transport barge is built by Conrad Shipyard, Texas, for TOTE and will carry LNG cargo from the port facilities towards LNG Fuelled Ships for bunkering.
