Avalon vessels select water treatment plant

This application has taken place onboard the newest vessel of the Avalon fleet, the Avalon Passion, and others are expected to follow.

The rings were installed on the complete freshwater system of the vessel, at the hydrophor, the boilers and the kitchen feed lines.

MERUS rings aim to slow down corrosion, scaling and microbiological problems in fresh and seawater lines. Applying the MERUS rings in a vessel hopes to save costs in maintenance and cleaning.

Avalon’s fleet significantly younger than the industry average on European waterways. Therefore, it aims to deliver desirable features and services and innovative technologies such as the MERUS technology.
