Financing for LNG infrastructure project

In collaboration with SINTEF Energy, Connect LNG has been awarded financing from the Norwegian MAROFF program to form the FlexMarin (Flexible Marine Infrastructure) project.

Connect LNG, the Norwegian technology provider of a floating jettyless system for marine loading and bunkering, and SINTEF are no newcomers to MAROFF, both previously awarded with significant funding to reduce emissions in the maritime and power generation sector.

Connect LNG’s floating jettyless Universal Transfer System (UTS), which was commercialised and delivered to Naturgy Energy Group in 2017, aims to reduce investment and operational costs. It has already been recognized for its potential for value creation, at the same time as being a cleaner alternative to fixed infrastructure solutions.

Through close collaboration with the NTNU, SINTEF Energy Research has access to more than 12 000m2 of laboratories, providing an excellent platform for Connect LNG and SINTEF Energy Research to collaborate on their joint mission.
