Hapag-Lloyd in landmark bonded LNG bunkering in China
The Berlin Express also became just the second container vessel to be refueled with bonded LNG in the port.
The delivery of 6,000 cubic metres of bonded LNG fuel lasted around 20 hours, and was an operation that relied upon the support of both the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port authority and local supplier CNOOC.
The Berlin Express is a 24,000 teu ultra-large container ship on its maiden voyage, having been launched in June.
