IMES adds vibration sensor to engine analysis tool

The handheld EPM-XP device is used to monitor cylinder pressure on two- and four-stroke engines. Over 2,000 units have been sold since 2008.

The new version, EPM-XP PLUS, enables more detailed diagnosis of engine performance due to the combination of cylinder pressure and vibration measurements. IMES has also extended the device’s battery life by up to 10 hours.

Data can be transferred wirelessly, while a dedicated app enables online measurements to be taken using a tablet or smartphone.
