This is H-Line’s first foray into the PCTC business, according to its vice president of business planning, YoungHoon Sun.

Magnus Sjöberg, senior vice president, merchant solutions, MacGregor, said the company was pleased to win the order. “A special highlight for us is delivering the all-electrically operated RoRo equipment for the vessels,” he said.

“They will contribute to progress towards reaching the common goal that we as an industry have for more sustainable shipping,” he added.

The order comprises all-electrically operated RoRo equipment, namely quarter ramps, side ramps, internal movable ramps and rampway doors for each of the four vessels.

The order also includes MacGregor’s Load Monitoring System, which is said to boost the load capacity of the ramp and provide more flexibility for heavier cargo. The scope of supply also encompasses design and key components such as installation assistance.

The PCTCs are scheduled for delivery starting in Q2 2024 and are expected to be completed in Q2 2025.
