Marorka strikes 26-vessel Mideast deal
The performance management solution was previously trialled over six months on four Mideast vessels. Venkatesh Radhakrishnan, fleet manager, Mideast noted that the trial had identified “areas for savings as a direct result of the installation and correct utilisation of the Marorka system”.
Ole Skatka Jensen, CEO of Marorka said: “Our system’s automatic data collection, combined with manual noon reports, will provide Mideast with a valuable monitoring tool to further improve their energy efficiency. The solution will enable them to reduce their fuel costs and harmonises with their environmental commitments.”
Robert Houston, president of Mideast added: “The advantage of automated data collection, hybrid reporting systems and state-of-the-art fleet performance tools is immense, both for reporting purposes and for environmental reasons. This contract is in line with our dedication to be among the world’s leading ship management companies, and demonstrates our commitment to fulfilling our responsibilities to maintain a friendly and healthy environment.”
