Order for Korean bulker IBS

The ships are being built for Italian shipowner d’Amico Dry and the orders were awarded through Telemar, Sperry Marine’s representative company in Italy. Telemar will oversee the installations and provide technical support and service for the shipboard systems.

Each ship is being fitted with a complete Sperry Marine VisionMaster FT integrated bridge system (IBS), including ECDIS, X- and S-band radars, autopilot, voyage data recorder and other navigation sensors and subsystems. All of the components are connected via an Ethernet network.

The two ships are due for delivery from Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan during 2011.
