Union Maritime buys more scrubbers

Under the sale and purchase agreement Pacific Green will build and install its ENVI-Marine system on the vessels by March 2020.

Pacific Green said that the agreement is intended to offer Union as much flexibility as possible for them to manage and trade their fleet while maximising chartering opportunities. Subject to notice and other provisions, Union can change the date of work and vessels to be fitted.

Union has previously bought seven scrubber systems from Pacific Green under a deal that enables it to pay for the equipment as it saves money (by burning heavy fuel oil instead of 0.1% sulphur fuel in emission control areas).
