Wilson inks BWMS fleet deal with Norwegian Greentech

The agreement between Wilson and Norwegian Greentech covers Wilson’s entire fleet of 120 vessels. The majority of the vessels will be retrofitted between 2020 and the end of 2024. Most of the vessels will be retrofitted with a smaller system with a maximum flow capacity of 150 m3/h. Some of the vessels will be retrofitted with higher capacity BWMS systems with 300 m3/h or 500 m3/h capacities.

“This is an incredibly important contract that we have worked on for a long time,’ says Senior Sales Manager of Norwegian Greentech AS Jon Olav Kopperstad. ‘The contract will help to ensure a high level of activity in Norwegian Greentech for many years to come.”

General Director Thorbjørn Dalsøren at Wilson confirms that Norwegian Greentech was selected because the system’s small space requirement, low energy consumption and service offering were available at a competitive price.

In addition to the fleet order from Wilson, the company has secured at least 30 orders for retrofits from European shipowners in the last few months, Mr. Kopperstad told The Motorship.
