Evac acquires UK-based wastewater product distributor

It is hoped that the acquisition will allow Evac the opportunity to market its cleantech systems to the Royal Navy, with which Transvac has a long track record as a supplier. Transvac was previously a distributor of Evac’s products. Transvac has also completed a number of projects for the offshore oil industry.

The company also has gained substantial experience in sales of ballast water treatment systems for the retrofit and newbuild markets in the UK and have been actively involved as a stakeholder in recent projects for the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary.

“The acquisition of Transvac supports our future growth in the navy and offshore sectors where the company has developed excellent customer relationships and a number of important certifications”, said Tomi Gardemeister, Evac Group CEO.

Transvac was established in 1974 and now employs 15 people at its premises close to the south coast of England. Transvac’s turnover was EUR4.1 million in the last financial year.
