As of the third week of January, Techcross sold ballast water management systems for 81 ships, equivalent to US$23 million. This is the largest January sales revenue already with the month’s total expected to exceed US$26 million dollars.

The Korean company also completed factory acceptance testing for 93 ships, setting a new monthly record. A further 83 ships are already scheduled for FAT in February, and the monthly total is expected to exceed 100 soon, said to be a record in the industry.

Techcross has also set a new record for the delivery of post-inspected products. As of the third week of January, shipping products for 72 ships were confirmed. This is the largest figure in the company history, but there is still one week to go until the month end and more sales revenue is expected.

The mandatory installation date stipulated in the BWM Convention is approaching and the market is expecting to experience a bottleneck over the next one to two years as ship owners rush to meet the deadline of September 2024 for D2 compliant systems.

“Techcross has the largest production factory in the world and is capable of producing more than 3,300 sets of BWMS,” said a sales representative at Techcross. “Since we have installed more than 4,200 systems, we can handle any customer needs.”
